WEEK 2 OF A Super ORGANIZED CHRISTMAS
Yes there are Affiliate links in this post 🙂 which make it so we can have a happy Christmas with no extra cost to you
We are now going into week 2 of our Four Week Countdown to an Organized Christmas. Are you feeling Super Organized this Christmas?? How did week one go for you? I can help you get Super Organised before this season is through. ( yes SUPER is my Word of the week)
Well, here the advent calendars sorted, my card list is written. We also cleared the freezer thanks to Menu Planning Monday, I even picked up a few presents.
DO NOT PANIC if you're not organized for Christmas - there is still lots of time to catch up! Click To Tweet
Write your cards
Get your cards or if you a bit crazy like me, make them and write them all out. Make an evening of it, pour yourself a drink and have a mince pie, rope the kids in to help and slap on your favourite Christmas movie, this doesn’t have to be a chore it can become a lovely family tradition.
Buy your Stamps
Next, buy stamps for your cards. In Ireland, you can buy a booklet of Christmas Stamps with 20 stamps in it -you can buy your stamps separately if you don’t need so many and plan on hand delivering a few.
Also, don’t forget that for 1 euro you can post your letter off to Santa and the big man will send you a reply.
Order your last Online Presents
Whether it is for your teenager or you hard to get partner, order those last online gifts to make sure your deliveries get in before Christmas. I actually got all mine done over the week as I know there are a few things that people want that can only be got online.
Get those Presents
If you haven’t started the Christmas Present shop do so now.
If you have finished and yes I know someone that has! Well, I am jealous and you should be writing an organizing guide !!
Once you have them tick them off your Gift list which you can download here.
Double check your Christmas Calendar
Make sure the Family Calendar for December is up to date – the holidays can get crazy with Christmas Parties and Nativity Plays and Carol Services so better write them down and not double book !! Ad if you click my calendar below you will have a link to a printable one – or you can click here
Allocate the Christmas Dinner Purchase
Get your Ham and Turkey Ordered
If you end up with the job of Turkey or ham. place your order with your butcher or Supermarket.
Order Your Stockings
If you are buying embroidered stocking order them this week. Everyone in my family gets one and if you are spending Christmas with us you are getting one, it is tradition!
So last year as my eldest’s boyfriend came for Christmas day we got his stocking.
Pick Up Wrapping Supplies
Buy wrapping paper and gift wrapping supplies this week so as the presents arrive you can wrap them. This keeps people from prying and stops that last minute panic wrapping on Christmas Eve.
I have a basket with all my wrapping supplies in this helps to corral all my supplies in one place.
Check those Christmas Lights
Check your Christmas tree lights work and replace ones that don’t. There is nothing worse than trying to decorate the tree with excited kids, only to find out that night they are not working.
I advise getting some spare bulbs to that way if one goes you have spares handy.
Take a Trip to See Santa
If you have little ones why not Organize a trip to see Santa and his elves? For my local readers, Causey Farm is in Girley, Fordstown, Navan Co. Meath and you can walk through the enchanted forest. Help out in Santa’s mission control room, wrap presents in Santa’s workshop, sit in Santa’s real sleigh. Write and post your letter in the elves post office, and meet the man himself. Santa Arrives on Dec 9th.
