How to stick to your meal plan and keep costs down
- Never Shopping when Hungry – this one Vital
- Write a List and Stick to it.
- Avoid packaged meals – cooking from scratch doesn’t always take time.
- Eat plenty of fresh vegetables and fruit by shopping the special offers
- Try to add a Meat-free meal to your diet at least once a week
- Shop in budget stores Aldi and Lidl which keep their prices low and have weekly special buys

Mince is on special in nearly every Irish Supermarket this week and this Slow-cooker chili is full of flavour and great with so many things from rice to wraps and nachos

This Tasty Gluten-free Pizza is so actually easy to make and with low fat Mozzarella makes this a healthier meal. You can also buy Organic Stone baked Margarita Pizza from Lild for €2.49 and I am all about Organic food.
Tip – Stock up on specialist food like Gluten-free or Organic when it is on offer
Tip: Vegetable options are not only good for you but they are often cheaper
Pork chops are on special in Aldi this week and you can make this Cajun Pork Casserole as a tasty dinner. It is great for cold winter days
Tip: You can get Spices and herbs quite cheaply and they make dishes pop
Aubergines are on special this week for 49c! This Tasty Aubergine Parmigiana recipe I will be sharing on Friday is a great way to use them and added bonus it is gluten-free
TIP: Don’t over-look vegetable you might not usually buy search for a tasty recipe using them
On Sunday I will be cooking our usual Roast Chicken -Lidl has a chicken on Special this week for €3. I will serve it with lots of Veggies from the garden. For dessert I will make this Pear and Ginger Puff Pastry dessert as pears are on special offer this week.
Tip: using special offer fruits in your dessert mean you can have a treat with your Sunday dinner
The total for all these dishes is €39.34 and I have even designed a Shopping list to help you – click the image to download. If you have a good store cupboard it will be less
