It has the added bonus of keeping the heat down in the kitchen on a hot day !! And you can put on a meal and head out for the day with the kids knowing your dinner will be ready when you head home. Monday
I adore Lemon chicken it is gorgeous in summer and didn’t have a slow-cooker recipe but I knew a blogger who did, Sarah of The Magical Slow-cooker. Sarah is a slow-cooker expert and this recipe is gorgeous.
Chicken Pieces are on Special in Aldi this week – €2 a packet and would work perfectly for this tasty recipe
TIP – If you like crispy skin to your chicken and use a slow-cooker. Crisp it by broiling it in oven for 10/15 minutes
Tuesday
Last week I shared my Easy Spanish Style Potatoes and said I would work on a recipe for the prawns because I adore the tapas bowls they came in. Well, I managed it and will share the recipe with you this Friday but here is a sneak peek to wet your appetites. Also, King prawns are on special in Lidl this week so grab them while they are.
TIP: Slow cooker’s lower heat is actually great for seafood but the recipes won’t be in for 8 hours only for 1 hour
Wednesday
As you know Wednesday is Errand day in our house and Pizza Night. Our recipe for Gluten Free Pizza is here If you want stuffed crust Pizza you can find buy flagyl over the counter that recipe here. I actually found a recipe for Slow-cooker Pizza on Pillsbury’s site – so it is possible people !!
TIP Making your own pizza is cheaper than buying take out and you can adjust it to your families tastes so if you need gluten free or wholemeal or vegan cheese you can do that.
Thursday
TIP: Don’t have a programmable slow cooker? A plug-in attachment can fix that and you can go really high tech and get a wifi timer
Friday
Awesome Slow cooker Pulled pork is perfect for the Slow cooker and is one of those 8-hour dishes. Pop it into the slow-cooker head to the beach or the lake and when you come home you will have amazing pulled pork !! Serve on Buns with Home-made coleslaw and Wedges
TIP: Use Slow-cooker liners to make clean up of your slow cooker easier
Saturday

TIP: Don’t open the lid until cooked unless you have too – the heat is what cooks your food.
Sunday
Chicken is the cheapest Roast I will be making that for Sunday dinner. But did you know that you can cook Lemon Drizzle cake in the slow-cooker and it works !! The slow cooker makes a moist cake which is perfect for Lemon drizzle !!
Tip – Use silicon bakeware in the slow cooker it works best.
