I was shopping in my local Lidl when I found this decorative cord for Spring. Basically, the cord is thick felted wool similar to the one I used on my coiled wool bowl. I picked it up not having a clue what to make with is and just started crocheting. The result was this Cute Easter Crochet Basket.
It only took me 30 minutes to whip up and I knew it would be such a cute Easter crochet project to share. So I made another Cute Easter Crochet Baskets and wrote down the pattern to share with you.
Cute Easter Crochet Basket Pattern
Materials needed
- Thick wool – I got mine in Lidl
- A large size crochet needle mine was a size 12 UK

The How to Bit
Cast on and chain four and make into a ring by crocheting into the first stitch.
Row 1. Chain 1 ( first st) 2dc in the next st, dc1, d2 to into next stitch. ( 6 sts)
Row 2 – row 3. dc1, dc2. dc1,dc2,dc1dc2 and repeat until your basket is big enough.
To make the walls of the basket. Double crochet 1 in each stitch. When your wall is tall enough which is three rows of dc1.
To make the handle of your Easter Crochet Basket
We are making the handle crochet half what round the basket and chain eight and attach to the basket on the other side.
