I played around with Mac and Cheesy to come up with this recipe. I used different cheeses and different meat to add flavours and this tasty recipe is one of six recipes in my American Recipe Ebook
TIP – Don’t be afraid to experiment with dishes – your family will tell you what works and what doesn’t
I had my first bowl of Gumbo in The Grapevine in Belfast. Their Chicken and Prawn gumbo is to die for and I had to try and recreate it. It is great not as good as the Grapevine but nearly there. Oh and if you are up there try the Seafood Chowder – seriously good !!
TIP: Shopping the meat special offers means you can pick up Prawns cheap
Wednesday is always Pizza night I think I would be disowned if it wasn’t kept a tradition. This week Gluten Free Pizza is down to 2.99 in Lidl for my eldest but the others want Deep Pan Pizza so Two Pizzas it is !!
Tip – look out for Pizza Specials in the supermarket if you don’t want to cook buy flagyl er your own.
These tasty home-made Chicken Tenders with Cheese Nacho Crumb are so good that your family won’t even noticed they were cooked in the oven, not Deep-fried. Serve with a big Green Salad.
Tip – don’t be afraid to try the “healthy version” of a recipe.
I picked up extra Pork Mince the other week when it was on special offer and I made so amazing Apple and Pork Meatloaf with it. Meatloaf is not something I tried until my Sister in law made it. I must ask her for her recipe it is incredible !!
TIP: If you know you are going to make a couple of recipes from the “special” offer meat grab two packs and store them in the freezer
This is a bit of a cheat dinner as I have premade Slow Cooker Chilli in the Freezer. I brought American Style hotdogs from the Supermarket. Load your hot dogs with Chilli and Cheese and Onion and serve with Salsa and Spicy Wedges.
TIP: Occasional “junk food” is okay from time to time and you can make this Vegetarian by using Veggie Chilli and Veggie Sausages!
For Sunday Dinner I am going to turn to my trusty slow cooker and make this tasty Pot Roast. Trust me it is so tender and tasty. I will have to follow it up with this Amazing Cherry Pie recipe which I have made numerous times.
