Apple and Custard Brioche Bake
What do you do when you have some left-over Brioche, a couple of apples, fresh eggs, and some inspiration ? You make this Apple and Custard Brioche bake for Sunday brunch and your teenagers will love you, for all of five minutes,while they are stuffing their faces !
This Breakfast Bake was a perfect for feeding lots of hungry teenagers, which my house was full of, without breaking the bank.
It reminds me of making Bread and butter pudding but the brioche is melt in the mouth, vanilla mouthfuls which are perfect with the tart apple. I imagine you could also use strawberries, raspberries or blueberries and it would still be amazing.
I decorated the Brioche bake white icing (I was appealing to teenagers ! ). But you can leave it off if you are going for a healthier option. I think toasted Almonds sprinkled on top would be divine, but that is just me.
